Are you planning a Reddit AMA? Every successful Reddit AMA requires a bit of planning and preparation, especially if you are supporting someone in the process. Lucky for you, we are sharing a planning template that will help you set up and execute an AMA that will generate upvotes and comments.
Follow the guidelines below to create an AMA plan/proposal that will lead to marketing success.
Your reddit AMA plan should include the following:
- Goal of the AMA
- Date/Time of AMA
- reddit Username
- Subreddit(s) targeting
- AMA Title Copy
- AMA Body Copy
- Execution Logistics (how will responses be submitted?)
Sample reddit AMA Plan
Client: Kevin Kliman, founder and CEO of RAUR (a podcasting app)
Goal: The primary goal of this reddit AMA plan is to engage the entrepreneurial community on reddit to share knowledge and experience gained from developing Raur.
Date/Time: Wednesday at 12pm EST (9am PST)
Username: Raur_Kevin
Subreddit: r/StartUps(72k subscribers) OR r/Entrepreneur (112k subscribers)
Execution Strategy: We believe you need to answer questions in text and audio. We can’t do audio responses only, because you may be accused of forcing people to use your application. The best way to do text and audio is: 1) You type your response but do not submit, 2) record the response on Raur, 3) add Raur link to end of text response and submit.
